Definition: Quite literally, another name for an asterisk.
This one originates from my grandfather. Whenever he lays down a seven-letter word in Scrabble, he puts an asterisk next to the score. Except it isn't actually an asterisk. It's a bumply. Simple as that. And so many a bumply exists in the world, though you may now know it. It's one of those words that can make you smile. Because it's a bumply.
