Definitions: The friend of one's father or mother.
As one of our family's great friends prepares to introduce his first child into the world, we struggled to come up with a name to define the relationship between members of our family and this friends daughter-to-be. My little brother finally decided that he will be this girl's fruncle, a combination of friend and uncle. And with a fruncle comes fraunt, frandma, and frandpa. I personally cannot wait to officially become a fruncle.
